Antique Coral Leaf Pendant

Victorians loved coral and commonly presented it as gifts for babies and new brides believing that it could ward off danger and protect the wearer.

This marvelous hand-carved angel skin coral maple leaf (circa 1860-1880) is versatile in design and can be worn either as a pendant or a brooch.

The pendant is 2.8 inches long (from the top of the bail to the tip of the leaf) and 2.4 inches wide, and it has a removable bail.

We are selling the piece with a black suede necklace with a sterling silver clasp. The condition is very good.
