Antique Orchid Brooch | Enamel Flower Brooch

During Victorian times, orchids were extremely rare and symbolized luxury and fine taste. When Victorians gifted orchids, it was thought that the more rare the orchid, the deeper the love for the recipient.

This lovely orchid brooch dates to the Art Nouveau era (circa 1910-1920).

The orchid is 14k gold with spotted purple enamel petals with a diamond center. The face of the ring measures 0.5 inches (13mm) tall by 0.4 inches (11mm) wide. The condition is good; however under magnification you can see very slight chips and enamel touch up to the tips of the petals.

This ring is currently a size 7, but can be re-sized free of charge.

Materials: Gold, Pearl.
