Victorian Gemstone Insect Conversion Earrings of 14k Gold

Victorian women were fascinated with naturalism and were known to wear jewelry inspired by plants and animals -- including necklaces, earrings, and bracelets made to look like insects, bugs, and flowers.

These alluring insect earrings were created from an antique stick pin (circa 1860). The glittery bugs are adorned with a ruby, emerald, and glistening rose cut diamonds, and they dangle beneath a 14k gold ear wire accented with a diamond.

The earrings measure 0.95 inches from the top of the ear wire to bottom by 0.4 inches wide, and they are in excellent condition.

Materials: Ruby, Gold.
