During Victorian times, orchids were extremely rare and symbolized luxury and fine taste. When Victorians gifted orchids, it was thought that the more rare the orchid, the deeper the love for the recipient.
This lovely orchid pendant was originally an antique brooch (circa 1890-1910) that we transformed by removing the pin stem and adding a 14k gold bail.
The orchid is 14k gold with purple enamel petals and a diamond center. The orchid is nestled in enamel leaves accented with a freshwater pearl.
The pendant measures 1.4 inches from top to bottom by 0.6 inches wide, and we are providing the option to purchase the piece with or without the 16 inch 14k gold chain depicted in the photos.
