An elegant antique diamond ring surrounded by a halo of half seed pearls and turquoise cabochons.
This wonderful ring dates to the late Georgian to early Victorian era (circa 1800-1840). It has a 10 point (0.10 carat) mine cut diamond in a crimped silver collet encircled by 12 silvery gray half pearls and 12 turquoise cabochons. The ring is mounted in 18k gold (unmarked, but acid tested).
The reverse of the piece has engraving that is worn and has become indiscernible over time. It is in good condition; however, the ring has been visibly re-shanked and there is wear to the outermost layer of nacre on a few pearls and chips to a few of the turquoise cabochons (visible under magnification).
The face of the ring measures 0.5 inches wide. The ring is currently a size 5.75, but it can be re-sized free of charge.
