Moonstone, a gorgeous iridescent stone with silvery blue tints that almost look like ice, was a cherished gift among lovers during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This outstanding moonstone ring from the Art Nouveau era (circa 1900-1915) features a magical moonstone cabochon set into a lovely mounting with organic free-flowing lines.
The 10k gold ring is in very good condition; however, it was re-sized at some point in the past, and there is subtle evidence of the re-sizing on the back of the band. The moonstone is a later replacement, and not original to the art nouveau band.
The face of the ring measures 1 inch tall by 0.6 inches wide and the moonstone measures 12mm tall by 8mm wide.
The ring is a size 6, but can be re-sized free of charge.
