The ancient Greeks believed prismatic diamonds to be tears of the gods and referred to them as adamas or invincible.
This lovely diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco era (circa 1920-1935) features a 30 point (.30 carat) modern round brilliant diamond (I color, SI1 clarity) with two 2 point side diamonds set in an elegant 18k white gold filigree mount.
A size 6.25, this ring is marked 18k. The ring is in very good condition; however, under magnification you can tell that the beads used to set the diamond have a bit more of a yellow tint than the 18k white gold mounting.
