Emerald, a grass-green variety of the beryl family, has been considered a visually soothing stone since ancient times.
This outstanding vintage ring features a natural rectangular step cut green emerald of 1.27 carat adorned by 2 old mine cut diamonds, 2 baguette cut diamonds, and 8 round brilliant diamonds. The total carat weight of the side stones is 0.81 carat and they are (F-H color, VS1-SI1 clarity.
The ring is marked for platinum and weighs 6.6 grams. It also bears a maker's mark "Presscraft." The ring dates to the mid 20th century (circa 1944-1955) and it is in excellent condition.
This ring comes with an EGL certification and the accompanying appraisal report indicates an estimated retail replacement value of $6610.
