Honeymoon pins were popular gifts among couples around the turn of the last century. The violet represents the "honey" and the crescent represents the "moon."
This pendant was originally an antique honeymoon pin converted into a necklace by removing the pin findings and adding a bail.
The pendant is unmarked, but acid tests for 14k gold. It measures 1.2 inches from top to bottom by 0.45 inches wide. It is in good condition; however, there is a small bit of damage to one of the petals (visible under magnification).
