Antique Sapphire and Diamond Earrings of 18k Gold

A captivating pair of earrings featuring sapphire-set clovers paired with rose cut diamond crescents, crafted in textured 18 karat gold. The symbolic motifs create a richly romantic composition, with the clovers representing luck and prosperity, while the crescent moons evoke mystery and transformation. The vivid blue sapphires contrast beautifully against the sparkle of the diamonds, lending the earrings both depth and brilliance.

These earrings were thoughtfully created from a pair of antique cufflinks dating to 1890–1900, transformed by our jeweler through the addition of 14 karat gold ear wires with diamond surmounts, allowing the original elements to be worn as elegant articulated earrings.

Each earring measures 1.3 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom and 0.85 inches wide, with a combined weight of 6.40 grams, offering graceful movement and a substantial yet wearable presence.

They are presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and details well preserved.

Gemstone identification has been confirmed using Raman spectroscopy, a non-destructive analytical technique that provides a precise chemical fingerprint to verify authenticity.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming 18K gold original elements with 14K gold replacement ear wires.
