Antique Turquoise Lizard Pendant of Gold and Silver

A striking and imaginative necklace featuring a turquoise lizard rendered in silver, poised atop a large turquoise plaque set in gold. The lizard element originates from an antique brooch dating to 1880, expertly transformed by our jeweler and mounted onto a newly selected turquoise stone with a heavy black matrix to create a dramatic, one-of-a-kind pendant.

The pendant measures approximately 2.7 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom by 1.1 inches wide, and it suspends from an accompanying 14k gold chain measuring 18 inches.

The metals have been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and confirmed with jeweler’s acid testing, authenticating their silver and 14k gold composition. In excellent condition, though this lizard is missing one turquoise on its leg, this necklace is a unique fusion of Victorian animal artistry and contemporary craftsmanship, perfect for collectors who appreciate bold, sculptural jewels with historic origins.
