Belle Epoque Diamond Evil Eye Ring of 18k Gold

A captivating ring, centered with a symbolic evil eye motif, set with a 0.61 carat transitional cut diamond of G–H color and SI2 clarity, and further accented by single cut and rose cut diamonds. The layered diamond arrangement creates a luminous focal point, while the protective symbolism of the evil eye adds both meaning and intrigue. The diamonds are set in platinum-topped 18 karat gold, a characteristic construction of the period, enhancing their brilliance while maintaining structural warmth beneath.

Originally a pendant (circa 1915), the piece has been thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler through removal of an oversized bail and the addition of a gold band, allowing it to be worn as a ring.

The face of the ring measures 0.4 inches by 0.9 inches wide and weighs 3.19 grams, offering a graceful, elongated presence. It is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and details well preserved. Currently a size 6.5, the ring may be professionally resized for an additional charge.

Gemstone identification has been confirmed using Raman spectroscopy, a non-destructive analytical technique that provides a precise chemical fingerprint to verify authenticity. Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming platinum-topped 18K gold construction.
