Victorian Garnet and Diamond Earrings of 14k Gold

An elegant pair of dramatic Victorian earrings (circa 1880), centered with pear-shaped rhodolite garnet cabochons accented by rose cut diamond trefoil accents of silver and mounted in 14 karat gold. The garnets display deep, glowing raspberry tones, beautifully complemented by the soft sparkle of the diamonds, creating a refined and organic composition characteristic of late Victorian design.

Each earring measures 1.1 inches by 0.5 inches wide, with a combined weight of 10.50 grams, offering a substantial and elegant presence when worn.

They are presented in good antique condition, with stones secure and details well preserved. There are some small indentations on the reverse of one earring.

Gemstone identification has been confirmed using Raman spectroscopy, a non-destructive analytical technique that provides a precise chemical fingerprint to verify authenticity. Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 14K gold construction.
