Victorian Garnet and Paste Ring of Gold

A delicate Victorian era ring dating to 1850–1860, centered with a vibrant pink rhodolite garnet, accented by two green glass accents, creating a charming and colorful composition. The contrast between the rich raspberry tones of the garnet and the bright green accents reflects the playful yet refined aesthetic of mid-19th-century jewelry.

The top of the ring is crafted in 8 karat gold, while the band is a later 12 karat gold re-shank, added to preserve the integrity and wearability of the piece.

The face of the ring measures 0.3 inches north to south, offering a petite and graceful presence on the hand. The ring weighs 1.17 grams and is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and details well preserved.

Currently a size 6.75, the ring may be professionally resized for an additional charge.

Gemstone identification has been confirmed using Raman spectroscopy, a non-destructive analytical technique that provides a precise chemical fingerprint to verify authenticity. Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming 8K gold top with a 12K gold reshanked band.
