Victorian Coral Snake Pendant of 14k Gold

A striking antique pendant centered with a vibrant coral cabochon, embraced by two coiled snakes crafted in 14 karat gold, each accented with delicate pink glass eyes. The serpent motif was deeply symbolic in Victorian jewelry, often representing eternity, protection, and enduring devotion. The warm coral and sculptural goldwork create a dramatic yet harmonious composition characteristic of late 19th-century design.

Originally created as an antique brooch dating to 1870–1890, the piece has been thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler through removal of the original pin findings and the addition of a discreet gold bail, allowing the historic element to be worn as a pendant.

The pendant measures 1.2 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom and 0.8 inches wide, with a weight of 7.85 grams. It is presented in very good antique condition, with details well preserved.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 14K gold construction.
