Victorian Garnet, Ruby & Pearl Ring of 12ct Gold

A dramatic antique ring (circa 1860-1880), centered with a large, deeply saturated red garnet carbuncle of commanding presence. The garnet is framed by pearls and rubies, creating a richly layered composition characteristic of mid- to late-19th-century design. The interplay of vivid crimson tones against the softness of pearls lends the piece both intensity and refinement.

Crafted in 12 karat gold, the mounting supports the substantial scale of the design, with the face measuring an impressive 1.3 inches by 1 inch wide, making it a true statement jewel. Despite its bold proportions, it remains beautifully balanced when worn.

Presented in very good antique condition, with stones secure and minimal surface wear. Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 12K gold construction. The ring weighs 12.7 grams.

Currently a size 6.25, the ring may be marginally resized for an additional charge.
