Victorian Onyx Star Pendant of 14k Gold

A striking Victorian era pendant, centered with a polished circular onyx adorned with a finely set six-point diamond star, mounted in 14 karat rose gold. The dramatic contrast between the deep, velvety black onyx and the bright diamonds reflects the bold yet refined aesthetic favored in late 19th-century jewelry, where celestial motifs often symbolized guidance and remembrance.

Originally created as an antique brooch, the piece has been thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler who removed the original pin findings and added a 14k gold bail, allowing it to be worn as a pendant.

The pendant measures 1.7 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom and 1.4 inches wide, with a substantial weight of 16.08 grams, giving it impressive presence when worn.

It is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and surfaces well preserved. Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 14K rose gold construction.
