Antique Reverse Painted Crystal Flower Pendant of 14k Gold

Embodying the artistry and charm of the late Victorian era, this antique pendant (circa 1880–1900) features a delicate reverse carved and hand-painted crystal flower, set in a finely crafted 14k gold bezel. The technique of reverse intaglio carving — painstakingly executed from the underside of the crystal — creates a miniature jewel-like painting that comes to life with remarkable depth and detail.

Originally an antique stickpin, the piece has been thoughtfully reimagined by our jeweler, who removed the original pin findings and added a custom gold bail, giving it renewed versatility as a pendant while preserving its historic character.

The jewel measures approximately 0.85 inches from the top of the bail to the base by 0.6 inches wide, with a weight of 2.19 grams. It remains in very good antique condition, with minor evidence of past moisture penetration beneath the closed-back crystal, visible only upon close inspection.

For assurance of authenticity and quality, the gold has been professionally tested using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and traditional acid testing, confirming its 14k fineness.
