During Victorian and Edwardian times the gift of violets suggested that the giver's thoughts were occupied with love.

A perfect love token, this realistically rendered violet brooch (circa 1910-1920) features beautiful purple enamel petals and a glistening diamond accent.

The brooch is 18k gold (marked) and measures 2 inches from top to bottom by 0.7 inches wide. It is in great condition with minor wear to the edges of a few petals (visible only under magnification).
