This finely rendered Limoges-style brooch (circa 1900-1910) depicts the Greek God Hermes, the God of speed and protector of travelers. Hermes was a messenger God with the ability to travel quickly between the worlds of the mortal and divine with his special winged sandals.

This exquisite brooch features the enamel profile of Hermes with a hand engraved details and glistening rose cut diamond accents.

The brooch measures 1.1 inches in diameter and is unmarked, but acid tests for 18k gold. The piece is in very good condition with minimal surface wear.
