Antique Enamel Patch Box | Late 18th Century Patch Box

During the 18th century, a commonly gifted item was a patch box. These tiny porcelain boxes often expressed beautiful sentiments on the outside, while the inside held patches of gummed taffeta, used to cover blemishes or to decorate one's skin.

This antique patch box features light blue enamel with the quote, 'Accept my Love' among two hand painted birds perched on pink hearts. The piece is in great condition with minor hairline cracks in the enamel. It would be a wonderful love token for someone special.

The box measures 0.9 inch tall by 1.6 inches wide and 1.3 inches deep.

Materials: Enamel, metal.
