Antique French Lucky Charm Pendant of Coin Silver

A rare and enchanting jewel of sentiment and symbolism, this antique sliding heart pendant (circa 1910) is crafted in 800 coin silver and adorned with enameled motifs of luck and protection. The front features a vibrant four-leaf clover, a universal emblem of good fortune, while the heart slides open to reveal three hidden panels — each painted with charming detail: a daisy symbolizing purity and new beginnings, a pig representing prosperity, and a hunchback believed to bring luck and ward off misfortune.

This whimsical piece blends fine enameling, clever design, and rich symbolism. The metal content has been verified using traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming its authenticity and purity.

When closed, the pendant measures 1.35 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom by 0.75 inches wide and weighs 8.58 grams. It remains in fair condition; however, there is some wear on the inside of the metal and there was a bit of cold enamel restoration to the pig.
