An exceptional antique ring centered with a finely detailed micromosaic depicting a feathered Pegasus, originally created as part of a mid-Victorian era bracelet. Composed of individually set glass tesserae, the panel reflects the extraordinary precision and artistry associated with mid-19th-century Italian Grand Tour workmanship.
The historic element has been thoughtfully preserved and transformed by our jeweler, who created a custom 14 karat gold mounting and band, allowing the fragment to be worn while honoring its original character.
The face of the ring measures 0.3 inches by 0.6 inches, offering a refined yet distinctive presence on the hand. It remains in great antique condition, with strong imagery and well-preserved detail. Currently a size 6.25, the ring may be professionally resized for an additional charge.
Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 14K gold.
