A whimsical and symbolic antique charm, designed as a question mark set with sparkling old mine cut diamonds, a 0.24ct natural untreated vivid purplish red ruby, and a lustrous pearl. The piece is crafted in 14k gold. Question mark jewels were a popular and playful motif at the turn of the 20th century, often symbolizing curiosity, flirtation, and intrigue.
Originally an antique stickpin (circa 1900), the piece was expertly transformed by our jeweler, who removed the pin stem and added a 14k gold jump ring bail, preserving its original charm while creating a versatile, wearable pendant.
The charm measures approximately 1.1 inches from the top of the jump ring to the bottom by 0.4 inches wide and weighs 1.7 grams.
The gold has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and confirmed with jeweler’s acid testing, authenticating its 14k composition.
