Antique Signet Ring | Letter G or D Initial Ring

Originally very practical in nature, signet or seal rings were designed in reverse and used to place initials or a coat of arms onto paper using wax, clay, or an embossing technique. Once this function was no longer needed, signet rings became entirely ornamental and the design was no longer a reverse mirror image.

Perfect for a man or woman, this 10k gold antique signet ring (circa 1910) is engraved with the letter G (or possibly a D).

The size 10.5 ring is in very good condition with light surface wear. It can be re-sized free of charge.
