Snakes, which shed their skin, have long associations with transformation, immortality, and healing.

This antique snake pendant dates to the mid-late Victorian era (circa 1860-1880). The snake is sterling silver (marked "Sterling W&D") with a turquoise accent on its head and red glass eyes.

The pendant measures 1.1 inches from top to bottom by 0.45 inches wide. We are selling it with the 18 inch black leather cord depicted in the photos.
