Antique Talon With Rosecut Diamond Charm | Claw Pendant

The use of a "ball and claw" motif originated from ancient Chinese mythology. In ancient times, a dragon's claw clutching a jewel or stone was said to protect the treasure from evil forces attempting to steal it.

This alluring charm was originally an antique stick pin (circa 1910-1920) that we transformed into a charm by removing the pin stem and adding a jump ring bail. The piece is 14k gold and holds a radiant closed back rose cut diamond.

The pendant measures 0.7 from the top of the bail to bottom by 0.3 inches wide. It is in very good condition with one small chip to the diamond visible only under magnification.

Materials: Diamond, Gold.
