An exceptional Art Nouveau ring (circa 1905), designed as a graceful peacock crafted in 14 karat gold, its sweeping form wrapped around a luminous black opal. The feathers are adorned with vivid demantoid garnets, their brilliant green tones enhancing the organic, flowing lines that define the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The piece is stamped for Walton & Co., an American maker known for finely detailed and imaginative designs of the period.
The face of the ring measures 1.2 inches by 0.5 inches wide, offering a bold and elongated presence on the hand. The ring weighs 5.78 grams and is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and details well preserved. We believe the opal might be a later replacement.
Currently a size 4.5, the ring may be professionally resized for an additional charge.
