Vintage Bird Conversion Charm of 14k Gold

"A crow in great want of food, saw a serpent lying in a sunny nook and flying down, greedily seized him. The serpent, turning about, bit the crow with a mortal wound. The crow in the agony of death exclaimed, 'Oh unhappy me! who have found that in which I deemed a happy windfall the source of my destruction'. Moral: What looks like good fortune sometimes proves disaster." -Aesop's Fales

This charm was converted from an antique pin (circa 1915) by removing the pin and adding a gold jump ring bail. The piece features a snake entwined around a 10k bird with a single diamond eye. The reverse is engraved with 'Margaret H Shaw 43'.

The pendant measures 0.95 inches from the top of the jump ring to bottom by 0.4 inches wide and is in excellent condition.

Materials: Diamond, Gold.
