Agate Caduceus Ring of 14k Gold Antique Reproduction

A one of a kind ring incorporating an agate with the ancient symbol of the caduceus -- two serpents entwined around a herald's wand. The caduceus is a symbol for the Greek messenger God Hermes or his Roman counterpart Mercury, and it represents moral conduct in commerce and negotiation. The symbol is also used by the U.S. Healthcare Industry as a symbol of medicine.

This ring band was one of several that our jeweler cast and reproduced from an Art Nouveau era mounting. It is 14k gold with an oval agate at its center.

The ring is currently a size 7.75 and in good condition. It can be re-sized free of charge.

Materials: Opal, Gold.
