Georgian Enamel and Diamond Hand Pendant of 14k Gold

Steeped in symbolism and elegance, this Georgian era pendant (circa 1830) features a finely crafted hand motif rendered in black enamel over solid 14k gold, accented with a sparkling array of rose cut and old cut diamonds. The hand—a popular symbol in 19th-century jewelry—represented fidelity, affection, and strength, often given as a token of love or remembrance.

Subtly curved and highly detailed, the hand is adorned with antique diamonds that twinkle softly in contrast to the glossy black enamel, creating a dramatic and meaningful design true to the romanticism of the Georgian period.

The pendant measures approximately 1.1 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom by 0.3 inches wide, and weighs 1.92 grams. The gold has been verified by XRF and jeweler’s acid testing to confirm 14k purity. It is in good condition, however, there are some nibbles to the enamel and there has been a bit of cold enamel restoration.

A rare and evocative jewel, perfect for collectors of Georgian mourning and sentimental jewelry, or anyone drawn to antique pieces imbued with emotional depth and timeless artistry.
