Georgian Pearl Necklace with Cupid Clasp

This Georgian era, antique pearl necklace (circa 1820) features a macerated hair miniature surrounded by a halo of flat top garnets. The miniature depicts a cherub shooting an arrow at a heart. The clasp with the miniature is nickle silver and the chain is comprised of hand knotted natural pearls.

The clasp measures 0.6 inches by 0.75 inches wide, and the total length of the necklace is 18 inches. The piece is in good condition; however, there is some wear to the miniature beneath the crystal top and three of the garnets are later replacements (glued in place).
