Shakudo Earrings | Antique Heron Earrings

Shakudo is a Japanese mixed metal technique that involved an alloy of copper and gold that was treated to give it a dark black patina.

These shakudo earrings were converted from a pair of antique cufflinks (circa 1880-1900) by adding 14k gold ear wires and yellow diamonds. The earrings depict cranes under cherry trees, set in 14k gold.

Each dangle measures 1 inch from the bottom of the diamond to bottom of the piece by 1 inch wide. They are in very good condition with light surface wear to the surface of the shakudo.

Materials: Diamond, Gold.
