Victorian Onyx and Diamond Ring of 9k and 15k Gold

A dramatic Victorian era ring centered with a romantic composition of a heart, ribbons, and arrows, set with rose cut diamonds on a polished onyx plaque. The bold contrast between the deep black onyx and the bright sparkle of the diamonds creates a striking visual effect, while the motif, associated with love, devotion, and romantic sentiment—reflects the expressive language of mid-19th-century jewelry.

The top of the ring was likely once an antique brooch, as it dates to the mid-Victorian era (circa 1860-1870) and is rendered in sterling silver topped 15k gold, while the hand etched band is 9ct gold.

The face of the ring measures 1.5 inches by 0.8 inches wide, offering impressive scale and presence. The ring weighs 10.84 grams and is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and surfaces well preserved.

Currently a size 7.5, the ring may be marginally resized for an additional charge.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming the 15k, 9k gold, and silver construction.
