Antique Enamel Patch Box

During the 18th century, a commonly gifted item was a patch box. These tiny porcelain boxes often expressed beautiful sentiments on the outside, while the inside held patches of gummed taffeta, used to cover blemishes or to decorate one's skin.

This antique patch box features turquoise enamel with the quote, 'We live in HOPE' among enamel greenery and a hand painted urn. The piece is in good condition with minor chips and hairline cracks in the enamel.

The box measures 1 inch tall by 1.6 inches wide and 1.4 inches deep.

Materials: Enamel, metal.
