Antique Turtle Conversion Necklace With Black Opal

This one of a kind necklace features a turtle of 14k gold with a carapace adorned with diamonds and demantoid garnets. The turtle was originally an antique brooch (circa 1910) by the renowned A.J. Hedges and the fiery black opal was repurposed from a pin.

The pendant measures 1.6 inches from the top of the black opal to bottom by 0.8 inches wide and the 9ct gold chain measures 18 inches in length. The necklace weighs 9.41 grams, and it is in great condition.
