Antique Turquoise Heart Pendant

Perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, turquoise has long been a prized symbol of wisdom and nobility.

This elegant pendant was converted from an antique brooch (circa 1860-1880) by removing the pin and adding a 14k gold bail. The piece features a bow and heart of turquoise cabochons set in gilded silver. The reverse bears a small locket that contains woven human hair.

The pendant measures 1.8 inches from the top of the bail to bottom by 0.9 inches wide and is in great condition.
