Vintage Lizard Pendant of 14k Gold

Playful yet powerful, this pendant began as a vintage brooch (circa 1950) and has been thoughtfully transformed for modern wear. The pin findings were removed and replaced with a 14k gold jump ring bail, preserving its mid-century charm while enhancing its versatility.

The design features a finely textured lizard in 14k gold, its lifelike detail accentuated by two vivid green glass eyes. Lizards have long been regarded as symbols of adaptability, resilience, and renewal, lending this jewel a deeper layer of meaning.

Measuring approximately 2.3 inches from the top of the bail to the base by 1.5 inches wide, the pendant weighs 4.58 grams and remains in excellent condition.

Its gold content has been professionally verified through X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming the authenticity of its 14k gold construction.
