Victorian Diamond Pendant Silver Topped 14k Gold

Perhaps no one will notice that you are wearing a treasure worthy of royalty or that the glittery stones around your neck are actually antique diamonds. Certainly no ordinary person would show up at a party donning such an extraordinary pendant, but then again, you are no ordinary person. You're a collector and connoisseur of fine jewelry and own many heirloom treasures.

Designed by a master craftsman, this elegant diamond pendant (circa 1860-1890) is a sight to behold! The top tier of the pendant features one open back mine cut diamond of approximately 40 points (.40 carat) in a coronet mount surrounded by 37 closed back rose cut diamonds. The total carat weight of the stones is approximately 1.4 carats.

The pendant is silver topped 14k yellow gold and measures 2 inches (52mm) tall by 1.2 inches (29mm) wide. It is unmarked, for gold content; however, there are "G.H." maker's marks in several locations and the bale is marked with the letter "A". The bale is screwed into place indicating that this was originally designed to be a convertible piece that could be worn in more than one way.

The condition is very good; however, there are two small abrasions on the back of the piece where it was acid tested (visible under magnification).

We are providing the option to purchase the pendant with or without the 18 inch 14k gold chain depicted in the photos.
