Antique Banded Agate and Pearl Bee Pendant of 15ct Gold

A statement of Victorian elegance and naturalistic charm, this late 19th-century pendant (circa 1880–1900) centers on a richly banded bull’s eye agate, prized for its concentric contrast and grounding presence. The surface is adorned with a delicate pearl-set floral motif, alongside a whimsical gold bee, offering an enchanting nod to Victorian symbolism and fascination with the natural world.

While the bee accent was a later addition, it integrates seamlessly into the design, enhancing the pendant’s charm without compromising its antique character or structural integrity.

Framing the central agate are alternating tiny banded agate beads and half pearls, all mounted in finely detailed 15ct gold, which has been professionally verified via X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and traditional jeweler’s acid testing for authenticity.

The pendant measures approximately 2.4 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom and 1.5 inches across, and is presented in excellent antique condition. It comes with a complimentary 18.5-inch 9ct gold chain, which has also been tested and verified.
