Swallow Pendant | 12k Gold & Silver Pendant on Optional 14k Chain

Swallows were a common motif in Victorian and Edwardian jewelry symbolic of faithful love and a safe return home.

This exquisite Victorian treasure features a golden fan accented with a silver and pearl swallow and bow with a tiny diamond accent. The pendant was originally an antique brooch (circa 1870-1890) transformed with the addition of a 14k gold bail.

The piece is a pale 12k rose gold and measures 2.2 inches from top to bottom by 1.4 inches wide. It is in great condition.
