Antique Amethyst Conversion Charm of 14k Gold

Amethyst has long symbolized romantic love. According to legend, St. Valentine wore an amethyst ring while performing clandestine wedding ceremonies for Roman soldiers who were forbidden to marry under the laws of the day.

This elegant amethyst and diamond charm was created from an antique stick pin (circa 1910-1920). The charm is unmarked, but acid tests for 14k gold.

It measures 0.95 inches from top to bottom by 0.45 inches wide, and it is in very good condition.
