Antique Carved Moonstone Face Stickpin of Silver and 14k Gold

A Victorian era stickpin (circa 1850-1870) depicting the Greek God Hermes, the God of speed and protector of travelers. Hermes was a messenger God with the ability to travel quickly between the worlds of the mortal and divine with his special winged sandals.

This exquisite stickpin features a finely carved moonstone face with silver hair and a winged helmet adorned with rose cut diamonds. The pin stem is 14k gold and the top is silver topped 14k gold.

The pin head measures 0.7 inches from top to bottom by 0.65 inches wide, and the entire pin length is 2.5 inches. It is in great condition.
