Antique Iris Flower Brooch of 14k Gold

Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow, was said to bridge heaven and earth. These purple flowers were planted over graves so the goddess could guide souls to heaven.

This antique brooch (circa 1910) features an iris of 14k gold with a single diamond accent. It bears the makers mark for the renowned Whiteside and Blank of Newark, New Jersey.

The piece measures 0.65 inches by 1.3 inches long and is in excellent condition.
