Owls have long associations with wisdom and academic achievement. The Greek goddess of wisdom, Athene, was often depicted with an owl, as was her Roman counterpart Minerva.

This vintage charm (circa 1940-1950) features a 14k gold owl with tiny jade eyes.

The owl measures 1.2 inches from top to bottom by 0.7 inches wide, and it is in great condition.
