Ancient Egyptians believed the scarab faced god, Khepri caused the sun to rise each day, and as such, scarabs are an ancient symbol of renewal, creation, and rebirth.

This vintage 1970s scarab charm is 18k gold (unmarked, but acid tested) with a turquoise body.

The charm measures 1.1 inches from the top of the jump ring bail to the bottom of the charm by 0.5 inches wide, and it is in very good condition.
