Vintage Woman in the Moon Gemstone Pendant of 14k Gold

In Greek mythology, the crescent is said to represent Selene, goddess of the moon, who symbolized fertility and regeneration.

This vintage 14k gold pendant (circa 1940-1955) features a woman with a carved moonstone face and glass doublet dress sitting atop an onyx crescent moon.

The piece measures 0.9 inches from the top of the jump ring to bottom by 0.8 inches wide. It is in very good condition; however the moonstone face is rather crudely cut.
