Ancient Egyptians believed the scarab faced god, Khepri caused the sun to rise each day, and as such, scarabs are an ancient symbol of renewal, creation, and rebirth.
This elegant ring (circa 1930-1940) features a hand carved amethyst scarab set in a 14k yellow gold filigree mounting. The ring is marked for 14k gold and also bears the maker's mark for Church & Co. of Newark, NJ.
The face of the ring measures 0.7 inches tall by 0.6 inches wide. It is in excellent condition.
The ring is currently a size 6.75, but it can be re-sized free of charge.l
