Art Nouveau Enamel Violet Flower Pendant Brooch of 14k Gold

During Victorian and Edwardian times, the gift of violets suggested that the giver's thoughts were occupied with love. Suitors often gave bouquets of this charming purple flower to express their admiration and affection. Nearly two centuries later, the delicate violet remains an emblem of romance and adoration.

A perfect love token, this realistically rendered violet brooch (circa 1900-1910) features purple and white enamel petals with hand drawn veining, and a diamond accent at its center. The flower can be worn either as a brooch or pendant, providing many styling options. The craftsmanship is truly remarkable.

The brooch is 14k (unmarked but acid tested) and is in excellent condition. It measures 1.3 inches tall by 1.1 inches wide.

Materials: Diamond, Gold.
