During Victorian and Edwardian times the gift of violets suggested that the giver's thoughts were occupied with love.

A perfect love token, this dramatic blue violet brooch (circa 1930-1940) features blue and white enamel petals with hand drawn veining and a lustrous pearl accent at its center.

The piece is unmarked, but acid tests for 14k gold and weighs 6.6 grams. It measures 1.3 inches from top to bottom by 1 inch wide, and it is in great condition.
